One of the best things about being a translator is that I learn a lot each day. If these discoveries are related to music, which is one of my great passions, all the better. That’s why, even if soul is not my bedside music, I have very much enjoyed subtitling and translating Living on Soul into Spanish for Charada. Daptone is a record company that is full of great artists! Apart from the impressive lady Sharon Jones, who is the flagship of Daptone, I also loved The Budos Band. Maybe because, when you have to translate the lyrics of the songs performed in a soul evening at the Apollo Thatre in New York, the break that an instrumental band gives you is always welcome.
